Curated Virtual Network Hotspots Crosses 20Mn Locations
SAN BRUNO, CA: Devicescape’s Curated Virtual Network (CVN) of Wi-Fi hotspots has grown 82 percent and crossed 20 million locations. This figure is expected to grow to 100 million locations by the end of 2017 due to the increase in the number of mobile operator customers and subscribers.
“By leveraging amenity Wi-Fi, telecom operators can bring an ‘always best connected’ experience to their customers for a fraction of the cost of alternatives. Our curation technology dynamically seeks, tests and adds tens of thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots to the CVN every day—making it the perfect complement to carrier deployed Wi-Fi,” says Dave Fraser, CEO, Devicescape
Devicescape provides a Wi-Fi service platform that delivers access, engagement, and insight services for telecom operators. The CVN’s 20 million hotspots are available to the end-users on the company’s customer networks. The outstanding 295 million hotspots combine with the 20 million in the Devicescape Service Platform to provide a meaningful component to its insight and engagement services. The operator can customize the CVN according to the speed, bandwidth, Wi-Fi affiliate relationships and user requirements. It uses machine learning algorithms and real-time quality of experience measurements to continuously and cost-effectively identify the best available networks.
Devicescape’s Wi-Fi service platform powered by a global, curated, virtual network of tens of millions of amenity Wi-Fi locations ensures better customer experience at an affordable operating cost.
